Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 October 2026
The short version
- These terms cover the ContractorOS website, the community and the ContractorOS app.
- AI outputs are drafts. Check them before you use them. You are responsible for what you send, sign, price or build.
- Your company’s content stays yours. The ContractorOS workflows and templates stay ours. While you are a member, you can use them in your business.
- Do not share your account outside your company, resell our material or misuse the app.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and ContractorOS Group Limited, a New Zealand company (“ContractorOS”, “we” or “us”). If you use ContractorOS for a company, you agree to these terms for that company, and you confirm that you have authority to do so.
By joining the community, setting up an app account or connecting an AI app to ContractorOS, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Membership
- The community runs on Skool, and Skool handles billing. The next section covers refunds and cancellations.
- App access comes with your membership. When your membership ends, your app access ends too. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data after that.
- We may change what the membership includes or what it costs. We will announce price changes in the community before they apply.
Refunds and cancellations
- Cancelling. You can cancel your membership in Skool at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not charge you again.
- Monthly memberships. We do not refund part-months or unused time.
- Yearly memberships. If your yearly membership renews and you did not mean it to, email us within 14 days of the renewal payment. We will refund that payment in full. After 14 days, we do not refund the rest of the year, and you keep access until the year ends.
- The workflow guarantee. Work through the 90-day roadmap. If you do not have at least one workflow delivering value in your business by the end of it, email us within 30 days after your first 90 days. Tell us what you set up and where it fell short. We will first offer a call to get the workflow working. If you still want your money back, we refund the membership fees you paid for your first 90 days, or the full payment on a yearly membership. The guarantee applies to your first membership only.
- Paid 1-on-1 sessions. If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the session, we refund it in full. We do not refund later cancellations or missed sessions.
- Workshops, set-up work and custom builds. The proposal or agreement for that work sets its payment and refund terms.
- How we pay refunds. We pay refunds to the card or account you paid with, usually within 10 working days after we agree the refund.
Nothing in this section limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Your account
- Set up your account with the email you joined the community with, and keep your password private.
- If your company account has more than one person, the owner is responsible for who has access and what they do with it.
- If you think someone else is using your account, email [email protected] straight away.
Your content
- You own what you add to ContractorOS: company information, rules, project details, templates and links (“your content”).
- You let us store, copy and process your content only to run ContractorOS for you. This includes sending your content to the AI apps you connect.
- You confirm that you have the right to add your content. You also confirm that adding it does not break anyone else’s rights or a confidentiality agreement. For example, do not add a client’s documents if you are not allowed to share them.
- Do not add payment card details, health information, government ID numbers or passwords.
Our material
- The ContractorOS workflows, templates, courses, videos and software (“our material”) belong to us or to the people we license them from.
- While you are a member, you can use our material, and your own adapted versions of it, in your business. That includes your own projects and projects you deliver for clients.
- Documents you produce with ContractorOS, such as an RFI or a quote comparison, are yours to keep and use.
- You cannot resell our material, publish it, share it outside your company or use it to build a competing product.
- If your membership ends, you can keep using the templates and workflows that you downloaded or adapted while you were a member, in your own business. You will not get updates, and you lose access to the app and the workflow library.
AI outputs
- ContractorOS gives your AI app workflows, templates and your company information. Your AI app writes the output.
- AI makes mistakes. It can miss things, get numbers wrong and misread documents.
- Treat every output as a draft. Check it before you send, sign, submit, price or build from it.
- ContractorOS does not give legal, engineering, financial, safety or other professional advice. Use a qualified person for contract, design, safety and compliance decisions.
- You are responsible for the decisions you make and the documents you issue.
Other services
Other companies run your AI apps (Claude, ChatGPT and others), Google Drive, SharePoint and Skool under their own terms. We are not responsible for those services, including when they are down or how they handle your chats.
Using ContractorOS properly
Do not:
- share your account with people outside your company
- try to get into another company’s content or our systems
- copy the workflow library in bulk, scrape the app or reverse-engineer it
- overload or disrupt the service
- use ContractorOS for anything unlawful.
If you break these terms, we can suspend or end your access. We will tell you why, unless the law or a security risk stops us.
The app is still being built
- The app is in early release. Its features will change, and we may remove some of them.
- We work to keep the app running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of important templates and documents.
Liability
- As far as the law allows, we provide ContractorOS “as is”, with no promises other than those in these terms.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost contracts, delay costs or lost data.
- Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the total amount you have paid us.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded, such as the Australian Consumer Law. Where we cannot exclude a guarantee but the law lets us limit it, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.
- If you use ContractorOS for business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and sections 9, 12A, 13 and 14(1) of the Fair Trading Act 1986 (New Zealand) do not apply, and that this is fair and reasonable.
Covering our costs
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with the claim.
Ending
- You can cancel your membership through Skool at any time.
- We can end these terms with 30 days’ notice to you, or straight away if you seriously break them.
- The sections on your content, our material, AI outputs, liability and covering our costs still apply after these terms end.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and update the date at the top. Before a significant change applies, we will tell members about it. If you keep using ContractorOS after a change applies, you accept the change.
Law and disputes
New Zealand law governs these terms, and the New Zealand courts deal with any dispute. If something goes wrong, tell us first, and we will try to sort it out with you.
